The Lenten Series is a series of 20 banners and 7 poems inspired by the scripture readings for each Sunday in Lent.
The banners were created on a computer by electronically combining and manipulating stock photography and photographs of Kate's paintings. They were printed on a large-format printer (3 feet wide) and hung in the front of the sanctuary.
The banners hung in the church changed each Sunday. The poem written for that date was printed in the bulletin and read aloud by Kate as a "collect" to start the service.
Kate used this site to communicate with her advisors during the "design" phase of the project and invites your comments.
