Praise for Dancing with Monsters

I laughed and I cried. You are an amazing writer—your book is a blessing because I have monsters that I dance with too. Thanks for being a wonderful inspiration! You are a treasure!
Jennifer LaMotte

I was looking for information and found inspiration. Your candidness is truly a gift.
Paul DeAdder, Founder

I wonder if only those with a chronic sickness in their lives truly know what it feels like day in and day out. I just gave up trying to tell others what it's like because I could never find the words. Your way works. Your story is the closest portrayal I've ever heard!
Ed Krawiecki
15-year MS veteran

I literally felt the book in my chest as I was reading it. It rang so true for me and my journey after the cancer diagnosis. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself so honestly, helpfully, inspirationally. You moved so effortlessly from your own experience to cultural expectations and reactions to an "intelligent observer" to a challenged traveler...which is just how it all is.
Pat Nyman, cancer survivor

I loved it. The dichotomy of mind vs. body or spirit vs. body hit a personal note. I have both found shelter and oppression the Neo-Platonist view of the separation of the two. Shelter when I feel that my body cannot possibly define or hurt 'me' in any way and oppression when I try to find my whole true self. Myrna's Search for Meaning—what a wonderful anecdote for being present! Connecting and reconnecting with God, yourself, your family, your art, etc. That alone, the space between, resonated with me more than anything and contributed to my overall impression of the story. I will read it a few more times I am sure.
Tina Newville-Lines

My copy of your book is circulating down here in FL. All have learned something from the read. I keep bumping into old folks coping with serious health issues who are rabid crafters, artists, builders, fixers and/or creators. Would not have noticed the correlation If I had not read your book.
Irene Stecher

Your book is amazing, a beautiful blending of honesty and creativity.
Rev. Bebe Baldwin
